Fili-West Farms
Our birds receive fresh air, exercise, sunshine, and a clean living area. They are able to freely forage for bugs and grasses, while also eating as much of their wholesome, un-medicated, grain-based, animal by-product free feed as they want. It’s better for them. It’s better for the land. It’s better for you.

Lowcountry Creamery
Fellow farmers and local dairy farm Lowcountry Creamery focuses on keeping the herd small, so the cows are individuals and not just numbers. They’re proud to offer locally produced, small batch, minimally processed dairy products.

Solo Verdi Beef
Solo Verdi cows are AGW certified grass fed and grass finished, Animal Welfare Approved, born locally at Solo Verdi Meats in Varneville, SC, and grazed in rotation on 150 acres. They are humanely slaughtered and then dry-aged to perfection for 14 to 21 days. Now you can enjoy the same superior quality beef usually found only in fine butcher shops and high-end farm-to-table restaurants.
We raise animals fit to eat, not some science experiment in mass production
We are proud of how we built our farm -- humanely, sustainably, land beautifying, soil-enriching, taking it beyond organic. We care deeply about animal welfare, environmental impact, the nutritional value of our food, and its societal and economic impact.
How it started…
Nathan and Ghie met in the Phillippines in 2007 and fell madly in love. After living in downtown Charleston for a year, they were inspired by Michael Pollan's "The Omnivore Dilemma" to leave the city and start their own farm in Vance, SC. But, what were they to call their farm? “Sunny Green Pastures Peaceful Places Farm” was already taken, so they decided to go with a farm name that was unique to who they are. Well, they are a “Fili-Western” couple (A term coined long ago to indicate the union of a Filipino/Filipina with someone from the Western World). Thus, Fili-West Farms was born.
