Turkey Necks
1 per pack. Pasture-raised. Humane. Sustainable.
Turkey Necks are dark meat, which makes them flavorful and juicy. Many people discard this underrated cut of meat, much to my dismay. Turkey necks are delicious when cooked well! Below is a classic recipe that may bring you back to your childhood:
Cut turkey necks into smaller pieces, then cook in a skillet with oil until brown, and set aside. Dice 1 onion and 3 carrots and add to same skillet with some more oil and cook until brown. Add meat back in, season meat and vegetables with salt and pepper, add 1 cup of water and 4 bay leaves and cover with a lid. Bake in the oven at 350 for 1.5 hours or until the meat separates from the bone. Serve with potatoes, rice or enjoy on their own.
